Drosera Binita Multifida

Description

Drosera binata is a unique species of sundew and one of my favorite, characterised by its bifurcating leaves.Drosera binata, commonly known as the forked sundew or fork-leaved sundew is a large, perennial sundew native to Australia and New Zealand.

The specific epithet is Latin for “having pairs” a reference to the leaves, which are dichotomously or forked.. In cultivation, several forms have been described, which are usually somewhat arbitrarily defined by coloration and the number of bifurcations into the ‘dichotoma’, ‘T-form’, ‘multifida’ and ‘extrema’ varieties.
