Nepenthes ampullaria is named from the latin word ampulla meaning ‘flask’. Nepenthes ampullaria green is a lowland species from Southeast Asia. They produce round pitchers that is green in colour, with or without stripes and speckles. They are detritivores, relying on dead organic material falling from the forest canopy. Hot, humid lowland conditions in bright shade works best for us here at the nursery. Most days the greenhouse feel like a sauna! ,they did not like too cold climate.
